The VOCAL Network provides connection and communication among individuals and groups. Our Network is developed, guided, and staffed by people who have been diagnosed with mental illness. Our purpose is to increase individual well being and allow support and information to be exchanged, and to work with other organizations to protect rights, improve services and counter discrimination. We are a collective of peer-run, grassroots mental health programs in Virginia. All our programs are designed, led, and governed by people who have been diagnosed with mental illness. We offer connecting communication and enjoyable peer support so that peer-run mental health program leaders are living their visions and achieving their goals.
