Together we collaborate to meet the needs of the growing Peer Workforce in Virginia with mutual support, advocacy, networking, and resource development. The mission of the Virginia Peer Support Coalition is to promote the growth and quality of Peer Support Services, develop a strong and united Peer Workforce, and advocate for Recovery and system transformation in Virginia. VOCAL Network

The VOCAL Network provides connection and communication among individuals and groups. Our Network is developed, guided, and staffed by people who have been diagnosed with mental illness. Our purpose is to increase individual well being and allow support and information to be exchanged, and to work with other organizations to protect rights, improve services and counter discrimination. Radically Rethinking Mental Illness
A arts, media, publishing, and social change project created by VOCAL. Firewalkers chronicles the profound, turbulent, spiritual experience of living through a mental health crisis. What our society labels as “mental illness” can be a sacred quest that has the power to enrich us, reveal unknown strengths, and transform our lives. Recovery Education and Creative Healing
A VOCAL program that trains mental health reacovery facilitators.

Consumer Owned & Operated Programs

We are a collective of peer-run, grassroots mental health programs in Virginia. All our programs are designed, led, and governed by people who have been diagnosed with mental illness. We offer connecting communication and enjoyable peer support so that peer-run mental health program leaders are living their visions and achieving their goals.
